BEWARE of Business-class.com!!! It’s a scam!

I travel business class often and usually book myself, unfortunately on July 31st, I used these folks to book two business class tickets.

My first conversation with their sales person was pleasant; he had a foreign voice which didn’t bother me as many US companies outsource. He identified himself as “King Meyer”. He took my information and said he’d call me back when everything was in order for the booking.

Shortly after he rang me with the booking information and ticket price. I relayed that it was more than the $2,162 I found on Swiss Air’s website and that his company’s claim is to save on airfares. He recanted and said he would get back when he could verify. Later he called and reported the fare would be $2,162.00 final price and that he had reserved seats. He requested my cc to secure the tickets…unfortunately I gave it to him.

After that conversation, he insisted using Whatsapp for future communication (A Florida company??) I expressed my concern as I do not like or use Whatsapp, especially for business purposes.

The following day I had a $6,258.00 charge on my cc and on Aug. 2nd another two charges for $2,162. I called and asked why I didn’t have tickets but had 3 charges on my CC. I threatened to call my cc and cancel charges. He said, “Don’t worry, the $6258 was a mistake, it would be refunded and that Swiss Air had some problems…Trust me, be patient, I’ll make sure you get your refund.”

My antenna went up again when he called me via WhatsApp’ late’ in the evening and apologized for any delays but again to please trust him. “I wouldn’t do anything underhanded nor would my company allow me to do so-tickets have been issued, thank you for your patience."

Four days passed, I called again inquiring about the refund. Once more he reassured me it would refunded. On Aug. 4th, my cc was credited for $4,325 instead of the full amount of $6,258. I called the company to complain and to please speak with a manager but they would only let me speak with King Meyer; I was forwarded to his cell.

Mr. King Meyer told me the $1,933 refund difference was because I gave him a tip. (Insane) I asked to please show any correspondence saying I approved a tip. He then changed his story and told me that the difference was what Swiss Air charged him. I called Swiss Air after our conversation; they verified on the phone and followed up with an email confirming the fare charged was indeed $2,162.50 x’s 2.

It’ not pleasant doing business with outright dishonesty and that’s exactly what I experienced from minute one with this company!
I called a good friend who’s a lawyer with the Justice Department that will review this situation! He said it may or may not go anywhere but at least there will be trackers on them and that companies shouldn’t be allowed to freely misrepresent themselves.

I’m usually quite careful with scams but I blew it this time, please don’t make the same mistake, be careful out there folks!

So sorry you experienced this! A good word of warning to the rest of us. Also, a reminder that when in doubt, file that dispute with the credit card right away!

Such a shame that some of the first time posters are posting to describe either a scam by a 3rd party booking outfit, or a bad experience with a known company. When the incident might had been avoided by looking at reviews of these outfits before they paid their money. It took me 10 seconds of Google searching to discover the bad reputation this company has.

Sorry you got scammed by these thieves. Your report sounds very familiar to those who have been around for a while - because these and many similar scammers are out there, always looking for their next victim.

People (usually first-time posters) regularly ask questions here about these scam shops. Here is just a small sampling of previous threads here asking if something that sounded too-good-to-be-true was legit...

The internet is a great tool that can provide lots of useful information. But it's also the single greatest tool that has ever been invented for stealing and scamming people. Don't forget that last bit.

To keep it short, the axiom around here seems to be: use whatever tools you like to point you towards good deals on flights. But never, ever book your ticket through some sketchy third-party. Locate the fare you want to buy, and go purchase that directly from the actual airline that will be carrying you (and when you do, be sure it's really the airline you are dealing with, not some scammer or imposter website or call center).

Remember: "There is no cheap business class ticket fairy."

Sorry for the OP, and I hope this helps inform others who might be tempted by the idea of so-called "discounted" tickets.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Thank you for the warning. There are so many scams out there. We all think it will never happen to us. Until it does. I don't believe in blaming the victim.

I do hope you enjoy your trip to Switzerland. It is a beautiful country.
