Business class consolidators

Has anyone used any of the business class flight consolidators like Skylux or Business Class Guru? Do they work? Would you recommend it?

They are not 'consolidators'. SkyLux deals in stolen miles, from hacked frequent flier accounts. The airlines are well aware of these companies and look out for their scam ticket issues. If the airline identifies you, they will immediately void your ticket even if you are halfway through your journey. Airlines have no reason to give away cut price business class tickets to some ticket flogger to sell cheaply.

No, I wouldn't recommend it. If it looks too good to be true.......

The only way to fly business is to pay a proper business fare either through the airline or a reputable agent. Pay or upgrade with points/miles through an airline loyalty programme or be upgraded at the airport however this is typically reserved for top tier members of an airline loyalty programme.

The airline sales are a good opportunity to find reasonable business class rates and often a first class flight in the sales can be found for only a couple of hundred £/$ more.

Premium Economy can sometimes be a good compromise (Virgin's product is highly regarded) however you won't have a lie flat seat and you'll still suffer the problems of a recliner in front of you if you don't snag the front row. Food and drink will be better than economy but not as good as those up front. The main benefit is a wider seat and more legroom, much like economy used to be.

Spend some time on TripAdvisor and or flyer talk and you will discover that these people are scumbags. And it’s very common that the airline will discover of that A frequent flyer has sold his or her miles so you could have your ticket. And if the airline discovers that while you’re overseas your stuck. They have no responsibility to get you home and you may be buying a full fare economy ticket for more than you paid for that cheap business class seat

With respect to Skylux, I could not agree more with colbe. I know nothing about Business Class Guru.

If you want a good laugh, google businessclassguru reviews. There are dozens of them all written by people who only do one review.

Anyone who believes that there are "consolidators" for business class tickets doesn't understand how airlines sell and use their business class seats.

There is no such thing as airlines selling "surplus" business class seats at a discount, and any business that claims to be a "consolidator" of such is a fraud.

The scammers that OP is referring to are dealing in fraudulent tickets, period. If you have any doubts, why don't you call up an airline and ask them if you buy a ticket from one of these places, is it valid on their flights?
