We'll be in Bergen and Oslo in late September this year. We're looking for recommendations for restaurants in either city--any price range, other than a big splurge (e.g., under about $120-150 each per person with a drink). Also, are there any must-try Norwegian foods that you'd recommend? Thanks!
(I have searched the forum, but many of the recommendations are quite a bit older.)
We were in both cities in August 2024 and I did reviews in the Review forum. We had several excellent meals!

Recommendations for Splurge in Oslo
Depending on where you're staying, you hotel may offer a lavish buffet that might include local cheeses and smoked fish.
If the weather is cool Fisksuppe is delicious. Every region makes it a bit different.
Trekroneren is a popular hot dog stand in Bergen that has reindeer sausage among their offerings.
Brunost, (brown cheese). Try the fish.
In Bergen we had two excellent meals. A seafood lunch at Fjellskall Sjomatrestaurant right on the harbor. The fresh shellfish was exceptional. A splurge for sure. We also had a delicious dinner at Villani Osteria. Fresh and abundant salad, wonderful pizza and excellent chicken. Oslo is a wonderful city too. Enjoy!
