Need a guide recommendation for a (walking) day tour of Rome next June prior to leaving on a cruise.
Prefer someone who was born in Rome.

My pick would be Francesca Caruso. https://francescacaruso.com/ , born in Rome. Frequent local guide for Rick Steves tours and has appeared on his TV shows. She's excellent.

These guides have been recommended by others who've used them. Can't say which of them are or are not native Romans but that wouldn't personally be a must for me as long as they have extensive academic background on the subject. Just a few of the previous threads regarding guides:

Both Sonia and Francesca have come VERY highly recommended. They are also very busy so may be difficult to get.
