I am very confused trying to figure out when tickets to view the Last Supper will go on sale for OCTOBER 2024. Any idea? Thanks

According to the current reservation rollout tickets for the timeframe that you are seeking should* become available for purchase on June 19 at 12:00 noon Milan time. Tickets will be available for dates in August, September and October 2024. You will want to go online at the time that your time zone reflects Milan’s 12:00 noon to have the best chance to obtain what you are seeking. Example if you live in the eastern time zone then you will need to access the official website at 12:00 AM EST on Wednesday, June 19. The official website - (https://cenacolovinciano.org/en/).

*It is possible that tickets may become available on Tuesday June 18 instead of Wednesday June 19. Keep checking the website in early June until you see the sale date announced.

12:00 am Eastern time? Isn't 12 noon Milan time 6:00 am Eastern Time?

The official website says the tickets for August through October go on sale starting noon Milan time on June 18. (One of the above posts on this thread said June 19, so I am noting the correction).

This isn’t what you asked, but you may want to use some of the information.

This is what I shared when I purchased tickets this past spring:

Today, March 20th is the start of the new cycle, May 1 to July 31, for purchasing tickets to view The Last Supper-Cenacolo Vinciano-in Milan. Tickets went on sale at 12:00 CET. Unfortunately, that was 4:00am for me, but I got up in plenty of time to log into my vivaticket account. It is a good idea to have this account set up in advance as you will need to have one to do the purchase. And, as someone else advised, have 2 credit cards on hand.
I refreshed my screen a few times and at :56, I was put into a queue for entering the site to make the purchase. I have a feeling this is only done maybe for just this first day-maybe two days-as it is their busiest time. My queue wait time was 22 minutes! A bit scary as there is no indication how the queue is managed. One person at a time, 35 people at a time? No matter in the end I was redirected to the vivaticket site after 25 minutes. It is a bit entertaining to watch the human progress across the page though. There is also an option to have an email sent when it’s your turn to enter the site. I didn’t want to miss by even a second, so I just watched the human walk across the page!
Once you are back on the page to begin the purchase there is not a clear place to begin the process AND you are given 30 minutes to complete the transaction. Finally after scrolling a couple of times through that page, I chose the photo of a hand with a ticket in it even though the info underneath the photo was not current. Good choice. Scroll down to find the calendar, choose your date and time options will pop up. Once you’ve completed that, the info for number of tickets, etc is presented.
I chose my two tickets and since I opted for the 9:30 with a tour, it already included the extra to be paid for that. Check a couple of more boxes and the next page for final confirmation totally threw me off as this is where you are required to enter the names for the tickets. I didn’t recognize the icon of a human head with a red x through it as being where you would enter the information. At this point, I must reiterate the time limit you’re given. I think I had used up 10 of the 30 minutes getting this far. Obvious that I’m not a real whiz!!
Because I had not entered the names, I couldn’t complete the process, so back I went to try to figure out where I needed to do this. I even finger tapped the human head icon a couple of times with no response. Here’s where a mouse or other method than a finger tap might have been more effective. More searching in case I missed a specific place. Meanwhile I had added two additional tickets to my cart. Then I had to get those deleted before I could return to entering names. Tried the finger tap again-success-got our names entered, confirmed and off to their pay site. I don’t remember exactly, but I think it’s only in Italian.
Enter your info. I had to get a confirmation number from my bank. It happens pretty fast but I was seriously running out of time. You are given the choice of payment in euros or payment in your currency ($). Choose euros as the other is dynamic conversion and costs more. It was somewhere around $2.50 extra. I finally completed the entire process with only a few minutes to spare.
I hope anyone who reads this has a much easier time.

I have never ever had such a problem as when we tried to purchase tickets to the Last Supper.

I repeatedly tried to purchase on line and had no success. I also tried calling, back then I had free international calls and I called Italy from Australia 86 times! Not once did they answer the phone.

In desperation I emailed our hotel and asked if they could get tickets. They said that it was difficult for them too, but luckily they managed. I am so pleased that they did as it was the completely highlight of our couple of days in Milan.

Thank you so much to SJS for the details!!!! I just succeeded in getting my ticket. Not everything I encountered was exactly per your description but close enough that I knew what to expect at the different stages and I didn't panic. I received "unassigned error" messages a couple times which required me to re-enter my name or other information.

Here are some oddities I encountered that might help others:
- At one point my computer autofilled my current city and state where it asked for place of birth and I didn't notice it, but I was able to fix that.
- I never saw the option to choose Euros instead of dollars but according to the emailed receipt, it seems I was charged in Euros which is what I would have chosen.
- I selected the English option and also to translate to English whenever it was offered. As a result, at one point, it showed that I was purchasing one "basketball." It was good to have a laugh and hope for the best.
- I had 2 different browsers going while for a while I was waiting in the queue.. The process and the errors to fix were not identical in the 2 browsers though I don't remember now what the differences were.

I too just secured tickets for Oct 10 @ 5pm. Because of info from this board, I was pre registered with a login, etc. and the process went smoothly.

SJS, you just exemplified the BEST of the Rick Steve Forum. It took me 26 minutes, and there weren’t major hick-ups. Thank you!

Add another success thanks to all the help from the community! Your advice helped make it a bit less stressful at 3am, and all went fairly smoothly. Had a 26 min. wait to get onto website. No passport # needed. First credit card worked fine. Kept having to add in info before it let me continue. Thanks to whoever gave the note about clicking "GEST PAY"! - would have been confused at that point. All good - just a bit weary, but feeling triumphant. Thanks again to all.

So I was the one who started this thread and thanks for all the comments. I went directly to the web sight yesterday and saw that they opened up for tickets for Aug/Sept/Oct today! I went back on line this morning, was put in a que for 1 minute and it ended up being easy peasy. I purchased 4 tickets with the english tour. I did have to put in all the names of those in our party of 4 and you must arrive 30 minutes before your time slot. I was looking for a date in October and some of the tickets had already been sold do do it NOW. Thanks for all the info, and don't be intimidated by the website. Enjoy
