Restaurant suggestions in Venice to not break the bank. Sept 17-September 23

Hi,
I have been hearing that if you walk off the beaten path in Venice and bypass the closer restaurants to the canal, you will find amazing restaurants at decent prices. I have the Rick Steves Italy 2014 and I’m probably sure the restaurants suggestions have changed. Although, I’m using it for everything else. I know prices will definitely be higher from 8 years ago. Thanks for your help!

There have been several threads recently that deal with eating in Venice. Here's a link to one, which includes a link to another. Prices aren't usually mentioned, but you can google the various eateries to see a menu. You might also use the "Search" feature in this Forum. Try searching for dining in Venice, or food in Venice, etc.
The "Search" feature shows up at the top of the screen on my laptop; I understand it may be somewhere else on other devices. It has the word "Search" in it, and depicts a magnifying glass. You can set filters, once you get into the feature.

In the meantime, take a look here:

And a couple more ideas are in my recent trip report: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/trip-reports/mini-trip-report-venice-and-rome-may-2022

Our favorite (not expensive) place in Venice is Ristorante da Alvise. It has a nice waterfront view and is in an out of the way part of Venice. The walk to and from the restaurant takes you through very a quiet neighborhood.
