I will be traveling with my daughter in June to Florence for one week as a graduation gift for her completing high school and excelling in her AP art history class. I would like to hire a tour guide to accompany us through a couple of the museums, particularly the Uffizi. Has anyone worked with any local guides or do they have any recommendations? Many thanks for your suggestions in advance.
Rick Steves has recommendations in his Florence GuideBook.
Many people use Walks of Italy
I'll be following this as we are going in Sept.
Take a look at Walks Inside Florence’s private tours. We are using when we go in June. Found out about them in the Rick Steves Italy guide book that was released since the pandemic.
Elizabeth, this guide was recommended by forum poster Fran awhile back. You might look at his "Grand Tour" in Florence? That one would cover quite a lot of ground.
