First night in Rome and Recommendations of Food Tours

Landing in Rome FCO at 7 am in February on a Sunday with our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teen girls). Staying in Rome around the S. Martino della Battaglia area.

Questions:
1. About how much time will it take on average to get out of FCO airport?
2. Do most hotels let you drop off your carry on luggage and hold before check in time?
3. Planning to do a food tour in Rome on 2nd day. Any suggestions for best food tour for teens and adults that don’t drink alcohol (we would love to sample and learn about wines but we don’t want the tour to be centered around wine/drinking).
4. Looking into Eating Europe food tours but not sure which one to book.
Anyone do any of the below tours from Eating Europe: which would you recommend:
Taste of Testaccio food tour?
Trastevere for foodies with pasta making Food Tour? Or
Twilight Trastevere Rome Food Tour? this one looks the best but worried it will be a lot about wine, is it?

If you recommend any other company food tour please let me know.

Trevi Fountain takes up the lion's share of a public piazza and can be visited 24/7.

Many hotels will hold luggage but best to contact them with your request. A small hotel or guesthouse may not have room to do that. Apartment rentals, as in Airbnbs and similar, are an entirely different animal but it doesn't sound like you've booked one of those?

We took the Testaccio tour from Eating Europe in October 2021 and highly recommend it. The variety of locations and foods, as well as the quality of each place on the tour were superb. They had an additional price for those who chose the alcohol supplement (most of the participants did not - it started at 9:15 in the morning in the first place), and so while a very few people had an extra drink at some stops (not every) on the tour, that was very low key, and not at all the focus. There were one or two people who needed gluten-free (and possibly vegetarian, too - don’t recall) and they were provided different options, without calling attention, or a big deal being made. The tour leader, Domenico, made certain that people were given a fun, tasty, and educational tour without calling attention to what someone was or wasn’t eating/drinking.

The tour finished with lunch, and while it included pasta and a couple of bottles of wine for the table, there were several bottles of water, and I think Coke or other soft drinks as alternatives, too.

We took the Twilight Trastevere tour with Eating Europe last summer and loved it. It was my husband and myself plus our two teens. There was wine, but it wasn't the main focus. Lots of good food and pleasant strolling! It was an area of Rome that was new to us. I highly recommend the tour!

We're signed up for their Testaccio tour this summer and can't wait. I've heard tons of good things about that one as well.
