I have a trip booked in May to Sardinia but our flight from Rome to Olbia was canceled. We have tried submitting forms for a refund and calling Aeroitalia, but no one picks up and we have not received responses to our forms. We also tried to change the flight on the app, but they are charging us a change of flight day fee, even though we are booking the same day that we had originally booked. Has anyone had any success with getting in touch with the airline?

You are at least entitled to a refund under EU rules. Keep all your documentation and make notes of phone calls. If nothing else works you can dispute the credit card charges: https://www.apathtolunch.com/2020/05/get-refund-for-cancelled-flight-ticket.html
