Budapest: Thursday Organ Concert in St. Stephen's Basilica

The Basilica is the rented venue. More than one production company can rent a night. Each production company can use a different platform to sell tickets. So from that perspective, they are all 3rd party sellers as the Basilica and the production company dont sell tickets. Okay, this is mostly my perception from buying and attending a couple.

What's you dates and there might be some other worthwhile entertainment in town (but I will look up a few on the Basilica in a minute).

Thanks for your info. We'll be there October 5 -14...with an evening Legenda cruise and this organ concert on a Thursday. That may do it for us, but feel free to send other items our way! (But only if you want to.) (Oct 11-12 include an overnight birding trip to Hortobagy via train and with a tour guide.) It seems you enjoy all the planning, so go for it!

Thanks for the reminder. I need to buy my tickets for the Vingardium and finalize plans for the Piknik. These are two great events. The Vingardium is just an easy way to spend the night, but the Piknik is pretty wonderful. It takes a bit of planning but I have that figured out.

I have only done this myself once - in Oct. 2022, I just bought my ticket a couple of days ahead at St. Stephan’s. There is a ticket window there (not the window for entry tickets). Last year in October, two friends bought their tickets earlier in the same day for the Thursday concert when we were there seeing the Basilica. Although a lot of people attend, neither time was there a problem with seating.

Edit: P.S. Several of us will be in town at the same time and are having dinner at Cork Breakfast and Wine on Oct. 7th at 7pm. Let Mr. É know if you’d like to come - I am sure he’ll be making a reservation. Besides the great company (ha!), the food is good and it’s near the Opera House.
