Who the Heck is James E??

Its not even my name, not even close, and I am tired of it. So I am accepting recommendations for a new name.

Well, I know you love fishing, Budapest, and your family. I know that you are always willing to help others on the forum and aren’t afraid to have opinions. I know you are a valuable part of this forum community whatever you choose to call yourself.

Why not use your real name?

You keep surprising us with your special sense of humor.

You can do the same trick as Prince once did: T?FKAJE > The ? Formerly Known As James E.

Hermione? Methuselah?

FishyFisherman

Budaphile

BTW how bored are you since you got home?

My first thought too when I read your post was “someone is really bored”.

But I do like budaphile or budafish.

Hmmm- How about “Pest?” The area where all the action happens- eat, drink & be merry! ;)

Chani, I was thinking the same thing, but more along the lines of Jack from the Shining.

Maybe you should try them all - a new name every month until you find one that fits.

Or you could call yourself by your forum number.

Whatever you choose, just be sure to let us know. It took me way too long to figure out Estimated Prophet was someone I had followed for years under a previous name.

Maybe the name changes are the reason some posters seem to disappear. I'm not always quick to catch on. Obviously.

HungaryTexan (USA/Budapest) or Hungary/Cajun if you live across the state line.

“Oktagon Man” could be the way to spell it.

Dick Chain Bridge?

Ruined Publican?

Hung Gary?

Andrassy You With My Eyes?

Pal Inkling?

Pest Control?

Buda There Pal?

Now you have me really curious — by the way, I vote for OktagonMan — with your pseudonym.

What does the E stand for ??? You clearly chose it deliberately !!!

Dammit, we will never know !!!

When I began i just pulled out a random common name James. But there was already a James so I stuck a letter after it. Then a few years ago, just to see what would happen I changed the letter, again at random. For those who are curious changing your handle does not delete your history or anything.

I was thinking Слава Україні! but didnt think the webmaster would appreciate it and it does look like spam

Or possibly 他的名字绝不能被说出来 (really looks like spam)

Or even ดีมากที่ได้พบคุณ

Or maybe 😫

Or יעקוב ההונגרי

🦈or 🎣 or 🐟🐠🐡

I ruined the fun and took the emoji out of his name, sorry. Emoji in usernames is a can of worms, and if it got out of hand my only recourse is to block all emoji across the site. Don't make me do that!

As we don't know who "James E" is, perhaps you could be "Mr. E".

(see what I did there?)

Well done, Webmaster. (Some may have noticed that I enjoy plays on words.)

Ooooooffff

Do I have to admit it wasn't until I said “Mr E” out loud to myself that I understood ?

😖😥🫤😬🥴

(Using all the emojis while I still can)

I've known James "E." Easley since high school. We called him "Easy E" as he had ZERO problems with the ladies while the rest of us losers were in corduroy pants holding up the wall with sweat stains on our armpits. That's all I've gotta say, my friends.

Maybe I should change my name to Number 6. But that would beg the question, who is Number 1?

Stepped in it and then kicked it up in the air for everyone else to step in it. With vigor.

Trotter! I just finished re-watching The Prisoner and I had to pause to verify who was Number 1 since his face is shown so briefly. Good to see how much of the show holds up over time.

What fun! I came late to the party but also had to say the newest incarnation of James E out loud before I, too, “got it”. I like it!!

I'm going to be Uriah Heep next, then Jethro Tull. If that's taken I might borrow my friend's nom de plume Jethro Toe.

Oh my I just got it also. Way to go Mister E!!!! Very clever.

And I was just about to give you credit for a great name idea. I may change to Staunch Avenger since you spurned it.

Oh, James! I’m slightly disappointed it wasn’t you who came up with the bit of cleverness but I sure am enjoying all these most current posts! Until someone spilled the beans, your identity was definitely a “Mister E” to me!

EP, if you do, please give us all a “heads up.”. It was you I was referring to earlier. I lost track of you when you changed your Forum name, and didn’t figure it out for months, maybe longer.
