When I type my request in the search box, I am given many links to browse. However, when I click on any of the links provided in the search, I am simply returned to the helpline. Anyone else having this issue? Webmaster, what am I doing wrong? Do I need a different browser?

Sharon, it is not you it is the Helpline.
Its nothing you said, it is just that the Helpline has had some issues...
Read the very first sticky post at the top of the page and you will see what the webmaster has said. It is at https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/general-europe/forum-fixes
They are waiting for the helpline to be reindexed before your search works. They though it would be a few days. It has dragged on to a few weeks. We all hope it won't be a few months.
Is there something we can scratch our collective heads for in the mean time? We tend to have memories like elephants.

Thanks so much, Nigel. I tried several weeks ago and thought the issue would be resolved. I was trying to find possible info on taxi tour guides in Edinburgh. We plan a British Isles cruise, don't really want to take the cruise excursions, and are hoping to find a simple way to see the city with a great guide. Nothing beats a good tour guide!

If you use Google to search the site, most but not all of the links work.
