Short stay on Paris

We are planning to stay in Paris for two days before heading back home. We have previously visited Paris and have seen the Eiffel Tower, Norte dame and the museums

This time we'd like to view some gardens, maybe do a tour walk, activities outside.

Can someone recommend the best gardens to view, along with the best area to stay in considering we are coming in with a rented car and need to fly out from CDG?

Thanks so much

Are you keeping the car for Paris? Where are you coming from?

Weather wise its good to have a mix of indoor and outdoor plans.. just in case..

Carmen,

Have you visited the Luxembourg Gardens?

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Diana which is very centrally located & affordable.

We didn't rent a car, so can't help you there, but hopefully others will.

Enjoy!

What time of year are you going to be in Paris?

If you're up for jumping on the metro - a day at Versailles will give you all the gardens you can handle. ;)

And for something a little different - wandering through Pere Lachaise is an interesting way to spend a couple of hours.

I would drop off the car off the outskirts. You don't need or want it in the city.

Jardin du Luxembourg is a good idea, and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is another.
Which museums did you see? Did you do the excellent Musée National du Moyen Âge?

Did you do the Arc de Triomphe, Panthéon and Les Invalides? Any of the cemeteries ( Père-Lachaise, Montmartre, Montparnasse, etc.)? Any of the churches besides Notre Dame (Sainte-Chapelle, St-Sulpice, Sacre Coeur, la Madeleine, Saint-Eustache, etc.)?

Yes, get rid of the car before going in to Paris!!

Another recommendation for the Luxembourg Gardens.

Agree with Kim completely! Turn the car in before you get to Paris. Take the train in from wherever you leave the car. Luxembourg Gardens are great and one can easily spend half a day there.
