I will be in Rome for 3 days with my family, there are 6 of us. We are looking for a private tour guide. We do not want to be in a group or on a bus with others. Are there any recommendations out there? We are hoping that the price will be reasonable.

There are some recommended in these previous threads. I've no idea what "reasonable" is to you but the cost will likely depend on the amount of time you want them for, how many attractions they're expected to get tickets for, their credentials, etc.

We contacted Francesca Caruso a couple of years ago, and she was already booked, but recommended a colleague, Marta Marsili. We had 2 days with Marta on our 2021 trip, and another 2 days on our 2022 trip. She’s really outstanding - e-mail her at martamarsili@hotmail.com

We used Through Eternity Tours and loved them!
Thomas was our guide for the Vatican and Chincia was our guide for The Roman Forum, Palantine Hill and the Collsseuem. I know they offer private day tours for pretty much anything you want. You can reach out through their site, just google.
Can't recommend enough.

My daughter and I enjoyed a morning with Francesca Caruso in December of 2021. She is thoughtful, personable and passionate about her city. She gave us advice about tour guides in Pisa and was generous with her time and suggestions about our remaining time in Rome. I would HIGHLY recommend Francesca for your tour guide in Rome,
