Just finished up a trip to Rome. I'll never go there during high tourist season again--hardly any tourists.
We used a guide on two days for the Vatican Museum as well as Roman Walk (Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill). We used Sonia Tavoletta: soniatavoletta63@gmail.com. She was great. Two adults and three kids ages 16-19. The idea of the tour was to bring these important places to life and make it memorable. Sonia was great and really helped make key Roman spots tangible and interesting.
