Do you have a “Plan B” for testing positive on tour this summer?

I’m wondering if others who are going on summer/fall Rick Steves tours are making a “Plan B” in case they test positive during the required pre-tour Covid test?

My tour starts in Salzburg, so I inquired about Austria’s current isolation requirements.
“presently the isolation requirement is 5-10 days but it can be longer as determined by local authorities.”
So, my “Plan B” would be for Rick Steves and Travel Guard to help locate 5-10+ days lodging. (Tricky because my testing date coincides with the international Salzburg music festival.) And then I need to determine and book the best mode of travel to Geneva, Switzerland, my airline departure city. (Train appears to be the best option.)
What else should I plan for?

What are you planning for?

For our trip last month we made the following plans:

Self test before changing cities in case we needed to cancel future hotels and start the quarantine clock.

Book or know of a hotel or aparthotel to contact that had kitchenettes, washer and a little more space in each city we were going to in case we needed to quarantine.

Take a 10-12 day extra supply of any daily medication in case we had to stay longer and quarantine.

These were some of the basics we thought of for our May trip.

Part of my Plan B planning was to contact our final tour hotel to see if they would allow us to stay if we tested positive. They said yes and confirmed a room would be available, though that may well have been difficult to guarantee.

Before my tours, I contacted my doctor to confirm whether he would be able to provide a letter of recovery and what the requirements and steps were for it.

My Plan B included packing:

A supply of home test kits
A thermometer
Bag of cough drops
Books in case I needed isolation entertainment

Well if we test positive before getting on a cruise ship it will be interesting as we will have to find our way to Barcelona- I have done zero about this planB - I expect to have 7 days or so in hotel to figure it out!

The thread that indicates that Travel Guard was not very helpful in finding accommodations following a positive COVID test and a removal from a tour also indicates that the person did not have Travel Guard insurance. The thread, in fact, is not clear as to whether the person had any travel insurance at all. Most posts I've read have indicated that TG has been very helpful in these situations. Maybe their level of help depends on whether you have purchased insurance from them. What I have not heard from anybody yet is whether any of the insurance companies actually pony up for the full cost following a COVID trip interruption.
