Wales - Brecon Beacons National Park

Spending several days in Snowdonia, North Wales in early September and would like to visit Brecon Beacons National Park in Central-South Wales before returning to London. Since we will not have a car, any suggestions for accommodations in the area that are accessible via train and bus would be greatly appreciated.

No railways from north Wales to the Brecon Beacons and few buses. If you do not wish to hire a car, I would be inclined to use the trains to get via Shrewsbury to Cardiff. See Cardiff Castle, the National History Museum at St.Fagans and perhaps Caerphilly Castle.
Then - London straight from Cardiff.
