Uber, Lyft or?

Which ride share is most used in Wales? Especially northern Wales. Is this preferred to taking a taxi? Is there a taxi service you recommend? Thank you for your help!

That is a very broad question. Northern Wales does cover a big area... Can you be a bit more precise as to where you are wanting to know about?

Near Snowdon. Im staying in porthmadog and need to get to Rhyd Ddu train station. Rome2Rio shows taxi at only 15 min so I want to also check ride share.

Im only using public transport and some areas are proving a little difficult. I begin in cardiff and travel north to llandudno

As you have discovered trying to get to some places in North Wales without a car is difficult... Car share isn't that common and many arrangements are informal between friends.

I think your chances of finding a car share from Porthmadog to Rhyd Ddu are not very good. There aren't many taxi companies in Porthmadog either. You best option is to contact Duke's Taxis via their Facebook page and ask them

I tried finding bus times for Porthmadog to Rhyd Ddu. This involves a change in Beddgelert and times aren't brilliant.

The other alternative, which isn't cheap, is to catch the Welsh Higland Railway train from Porthmadog Harbour Station and get off at Rhyd Ddu station. Timetables aren't available for this yet.

What are you planning to do once you get to Rhyd Ddu?

How are you planning to get to where you want to be after Rhyd Ddu?

Have you worked out how to get from Porthmadog to Llandudno?

You're making the assumption either company operates in smaller town Wales.

Lyft isn't available in the UK. Uber operates in Cardiff but not in Porthmadog. Taxi is your best bet.
