I bought an Anytime Day ticket, but it comes with specific times. While I understand that I must use it on the date on the ticket, must I stick to the times or can I use it on any train. I'll be returning from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno Junction after visiting the slate mine and the time to catch the train is a bit tight...

To purchase a ticket you need to specify times, but you can then use it at any time that day, on any train. The times specified are just a technicality.
There are no advance fares on that line so it has to be an 'open' ticket, valid on any train, although you are aware I assume that the service only runs every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Yes, I do know the trains are infrequent, that's why I will try to make the 'scheduled' one, but might not, so may need to take the later one.
