Clocks “fall back” in the UK by one hour at 2:00 AM this coming Sunday, October 25. Switching off of British Summer Time means that sunrise will happen before 7:00 AM again, but sunset will suddenly be before 5:00 PM.
If anybody is heading to the U.S.A. in a couple of weeks, we’re switching back one week later, from Daylight Saving Time to Standard time, at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
As smartphones are now so widespread, and they set times automatically, there are fewer clocks and watches to manually change. But especially for someone traveling, it’s important to be aware of the changes.
