St. David's Cathedral by train from Cardiff

Can anyone tell me if bus service is available from Fishguard to St. David's cathedral in western Wales? We will take the train from Cardiff, and at this point assume we have to terminate at Fishguard. Is there a better option?

Yes, their is a better option. You take the train from Cardiff to Haverfordwest where you switch to bus 411 for a journey to St.David's via Newgale & Solva. The total journey time is well over 3 hours. On present schedules, a train leaves Cardiff at about 7.50am. Schedules may change in early May. Nice though St.David’s is, I would favour going by train to Tenby. A pay on the day return is £27.10. On present schedules, a train leaves Cardiff at 9.04 & you arrive Tenby at 11.41 (1 change at Carmarthen). If returning, a suitable departure from Tenby is at 15.41 to arrive Cardiff at 18.22 (with 1 change at Swansea). www.nationalrail.co.uk

Please note that Cardiff also has a cathedral - at Llandaff - which is about 2 miles NW of the city centre. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llandaff_Cathedral
