We are a family of 4 (boys 10 &9) and will be in Wales in July. We want to ride the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Is the steam train worth the extra money? I know the steam holds 34 passengers and the diesel 70 passengers. Does this make one have more room over the other? Which is better?

Demand for spaces will be high in July so I would just go with the more prevalent diesel services. The thing that matters is going to the summit on a clear day. If you want a ride on a steam train, check out:>https://www.festrail.co.uk
