Need help with public transport Aberystwyth to Tenby June 2025

Hello, would appreciate best/efficient advice on public transport Aberystwyth to Tenby on a Monday in June, bus or train.

Related question, are ticket agents available in Wales at bus or train stations to talk to in person about routes, ticketing, or is it all done online or an app?

Bus #T1 to Carmarthen Station then train. This can be booked as a through 'train' ticket for £10.30 through Transport for Wales or any other train company.
It is rare to find a staffed bus station but larger train stations will have information.
I would be sceptical whether Aberystwyth or Carmarthen stations will know about buses.
Printed timetables are largely a thing of the past, since the pandemic. Best done online.

Thanks. Transport for Wales has a trip Aber to Carmarthen, change, and Carm to Tenby and when I clicked on the icon, it said bus service. But the stop at Carm had Platform 1 on it, which makes me think that is a train service. TFW isn't very clear about what leg of journey is bus or train, but maybe I'm not seeing it.

I agree it's laid out terribly on TfW. It's far better explained on Northern Rail, which is my personal default rail web site.
If you think 5 or 6 minutes is too tight for a change from bus to train at Carmarthen you are free to take the bus one hour earlier.
Carmarthen has three platforms - #1 is the one as you walk in the door.

Large parts of rural Wales do not have trains and Transport for Wales / Traws Cymru are trying to help people get about these less populated areas using public transport.

If you click the next link - which is not intended for the general public, you should see Carmarthen station today with trains clearly marked but also the buses to/from Aberystwyth - which stop right outside the train station.https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/gb-nr:CMN/2025-04-22/0600-2000?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt

Note that the Morris Travel 281 to Llandeilo does not appear to call at Carmarthen train station - but does go to the small bus station - about a 7 minute walk away via the footbridge over thew river.
