Moreton-in-Marsh to North Wales

How do I get from Moreton-in-Marsh to North Wales? I'll be flying into LHR and going straight to Bath. Then a day trip in the Cotswolds. After the tour I would like to go straight to North Wales but having a hard time figuring out the best and quickest way to get there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Presumably you are going by train and presumably to Conwy.

The route which is often suggested on here is via Worcestershire Parkway (or Worcester Foregate Street) and Birmingham New Street (that is two changes). Nothing wrong with either of those routes, but Birmingham New Street is a big and complicated station.

Another easier route is via Hereford-
the 1120 to Hereford, arrive 1246, depart 1256, Shrewsbury arrive 1352, depart 1425, Conwy arrive 1616.

Shrewsbury is normally a same platform change, and Hereford only has three platforms. Be at the back of the train from Moreton and cross the bridge (there is also an elevator)- ten minutes is plenty of time for the change.

Via Hereford is also a pretty scenic route.

If you are going from Bath on a day trip of the Cotswolds and then train straight to north Wales, then that is really too much for 1 day.

if you are going forward to North Wales that evening, and from Moreton-in-Marsh then it would be the 1825 train from Moreton in Marsh to Worcestershire Parkway, change for Birmingham New Street, change and arrive at Conwy at 2240.

If you stayed with the tour back to Bath there is a one change option- Bath depart 1839, Newport (Gwent) arrive 1934, depart 1955, Conwy arrive 0003 (that train is the boat train connection for Dublin). That service has very cheap fares on it as well- £34 booking just a week ahead of time.
