Men's voices choir

We are traveling to Wales in late May for a two-week trip. After a few days in Cardiff, we will head to the St. David's area and then to Conwy.

We'd love to see a men's voices choir. The Visit Wales website has a helpful list of choirs. I'm keeping an eye out for concerts. But some of the choirs list their practice time. Can I drop in on a practice? Should I email first? I assume that some sort of contribution would be appropriate? Any guidance on the protocols would be appreciated!

I've dropped in on practices before and then be prepared to go to the pub afterward where they may meet and continue singing, lol.

Also check the church bulletin boards. I went to a wonderful concert in Betws-y-Coed a number of years ago because I was killing time reading the bulletin board and saw there was a concert in the church that night. I think the contribution was 5gbp which was a bargain. Not sure if it went to the church or went to the choir members to pay for travel. Either way...was fine.

I'm a member of a concert band (bit different to a male voice choir but hey!). We say on our facebook page that our rehearsals are open to visitors. Might be worth checking with any choir you intend to drop in on, just in case they are not open to visitors at rehearsals. In my experience they won't expect any contribution, they'll likely just be happy you came along to listen.
