December Worth Visiting?

Is it worth it to visit Wales in December? If it is, what major attractions would still be open or would be suited to winter travel? I am aware that the days are short and scenery will not look as nice as in the summer (But is does it still look good?), so any suggestions for a December trip to Wales?

Thanks you.

Much of Wales is high ground and could be prone to snow. The mountains can look very scenic when snow covered. Snow is unlikely in coastal areas and in Cardiff. Cardiff will have an open air ice rink in front of the City Hall as well as Christmas Market with wooden cabins filling many of the streets in the central area.

One weather proof place to visit in the Big Pit Coal Mine at Blaenavon. (It is on high ground so could be snow bound - but this is unlikely). It is rather difficult to access without a car.http://www.museumwales.ac.uk/bigpit/
