Day Trip to Anglesey

I have a day and a half to explore Anglesey (one entire day and one morning) and would love ideas for a driving itinerary. My friend from Wales will be driving, so we don't need to rely on public transportation. We will be staying in Holyhead, so would like to end the day there. We like to walk and love to explore natural places, cultural spots, etc. Any itinerary suggestions?
Thank you!

We were staying in Caernarfon when we went to Anglesey. On Anglesey we crossed the Menai bridge, went to Beaumaris castle, Llanfair…..gogogoch (town with the long name), South Stack Lighthouse, Penrhos Feiw standing stones, Llynon windmill (the owner was just opening a tea/pastry shop when we were there. The pastries were very good), and Lligwy Burial chamber. There are other Neolithic sites too. I’m sure there are a number of places we didn’t see and my wife wants to return there for another day trip on our next Wales trip.

We have walked quite a bit of the coastal path in Anglesey and haven’t found a section that we wouldn’t walk again. Visitanglesey.co.uk has a selection of circular routes. If you are near Moelfre, try the excellent ice cream kiosk there - the sea buckthorn flavour is fantastic.

The walking loops round Aberffraw, Cemaes Bay and South Stack were all good, but we had no rain.

Plas Newydd House (National Trust) is worth a visit and has fantastic views over to Snowdonia.

Holyhead wouldn’t be my choice of where to stay.

The Nelson memorial near St Mary's Church by the Britannia Bridge is a nice quiet spot
