Conwy or Llandudno?

If you had 2 nights in North Wales, with a car, which of these towns would you stay in?
Please share your reasons, and any recommended B&B or Hotel.
This would be a family of 4 adults, mid-week, late September '23. We do plan on driving to Caernarfon Castle during our stay.

Conwy is a walled town with ruined castle. It retains its medieval street plan within the walls.

Llandudno is a Victorian sea side town over looked by the Great Orme. It is a very different atmosphere.

Either would work well. You probably have more choice of accommodation in Llandudno. If you choose Conwy, try and finsd somewhere within the walled town for the atmosphere (but check that it does have parking!)

Either works, but Llandudno is large with more places to walk and restaurants to choose from. I’d have no problem finding things to do in Llandudno. I enjoyed looking for the Alice in Wonderland characters’ sculptures that are throughout the town. Conwy is nice, but for me it’s too small for more than a night. On our last two Wales visits we stayed in Caernarfon because my wife likes the one B&B, but there’s little to see and do other than the castle.

I'd choose Conwy simply for having enough time to walk all the sections of the wall as there are some unique views and challenges. We stayed inside the walls at the Castle Hotel and were lucky enough to get the large room over the entrance that has a large bay window and seat. We did take a taxi into Llandudno to shop for a replacement camera as I had an unfortunate incident with my cherished Canon G9 X but it could have been worse (my cell phone was unharmed!). Llandudno had a Curry's which had what I needed - it reminded me of the "Best Buy" near me. In fact, Lladudno seemed typically suburban and Convy had more appeal to us.

Thank you all. We have decided to stay in Conwy, and are thinking of staying at the Erskine Arms.
