Hi - as the title suggests, I am looking at two different places to stay that are not astronomical in costs for the Taylor Swift concert at Principality stadium. One is in Pontcanna area, the other in the Newtown/Adamstown. We will be walking home from the concert. If anyone is familiar with the areas - thank you!

Go with Pontcanna which is an upmarket area NW of the city centre. (The houses look old but they are a hell of a price to buy). Also note that if you arrive on National Express bus/coach that their terminus is in Sophia Gardens which is in the Pontcanna area.
Note that by Pontcanna, we generally mean the area near Cathedral Road.
Newtown/Adamstown is a downmarket area SE of the city centre.

You don't say where you are coming from but note, that for longer train journeys, it is cheaper to pre-book advance (specific train) tickets.
