Headed to Cardiff for a view days this summer. I'd appreciate any and all recommendations on food, lodging, and sightseeing. Also, I'd love the chance to hear a male voice choir rehearse or perform. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! B
There are Cardiff, Caerphilly, and Coch castles in the area. Tintern Abbey and Chepstow castle are in the vicinity. Monmouth was nice to walk around for a couple hours. There’s also St. Fagans National Museum of History just outside town, but I haven’t been to it.
St Fagans museum is fascinating - but do allow plenty of time for a visit. You can easily spend a full day here visiting all the old houses etc that have been rebuilt here.
Don't know about male choirs but we did a day trip pilgrimage to see the Doctor Who sites and liked Bute Park, Cardiff Castle, the Welsh Assembly and the Cardiff Bay Area. The National Museum of Wales is also worth a look for art and other history.
Thanks for all the info.
