Hi, I'll be in North Wales next month. Where is the place to get a view of Mt Snowden without having to climb up the mountain? We'll be in the national park and driving from Betwsy-Coed to Carnaeforn. Wondering if there's a place enroute for a good view.
Thanks very much!
A498 - Snowdon Look out car park. Click here & you should get a Google Map of the location - then zoom out to see where it is.
Note that this is just south of your direct route to Caernarfon - which would be over the Llanberis Pass. The longer southerly route via Beddgelert is also very scenic and offers views of Snowdon from the south.
Thanks very much, James. This is so helpful!
Looking forward to getting some great views!
I take it that you are aware that a Mountain Railway will take you to the top and that it starts in Llanberis? https://snowdonrailway.co.uk
Hi, yes, James. I know about the railway up the mountain.
The train will not be going to the summit on the date I'm there. Hence, looking for nice views from the ground. 😀
