Hi , I’m driving from Chester to Conwy and then driving to see mostly Northern Wales.
Would like good road map !
We have a Borch laminated map, but we didn’t even open it on our recent trip. GPS and Google maps downloaded for offline use got us every place we needed. The drive from Chester to Conwy is on the A55. It’s a good road and cities and towns are well marked. Prior to the trip, I made favorites on my GPS for all the places we were visiting, including public parking lots.
Most supermarkets in the UK have relatively cheap road atlases. You could start by exploring with Google maps and every so often, zoom down & go to streeetview to see what the roads are like. The road from Chester to Conwy is the A55 expressway so an easy drive. Zoom down on Conwy and you will find it is all narrow streets within the confines of the medieval walls.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.0236284,-3.7081177,94431m/data=!3m1!1e3!5m1!1e1
Thank you Jsmes! I’m starting to feel more at ease about driving there!!
Pleased response was helpful.
Just did a driving tour of Wales in late July and I second (third? ) Google maps. I bought a UK sim card with a great data plan so I didn't need to download the maps but liked knowing I had that as a back up. The voice directions were great to keep my eyes on the road and it was nice having the familiar resource since I use google maps at home and am very familiar with the app.
