Accomodations for 2 Nights in Conwy

My wife and I are planning two nights on Conwy in late may and would like recommendations of where to stay.

Have stayed at the Castle Hotel twice. Right in the heart of town, not expensive, attractive rooms full of character. Very nice pub downstairs. https://castlewales.co.uk/

It was my husband's favorite stop on a 3 week tour of the UK. Enjoy!

We also stayed at the same hotel as Jill and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room decor is nicer than what I have at home.

My husband played golf one day while we stayed there, so I also chose it for the location - handy for me to explore the castle, have high tea at Upstairs at Anna’s & enjoy the town while he was busy.

The nearby Bodnant Garden is spectacular!

I stayed at the Castle Hotel as well with a somewhat funny (?) story.

My first night, I couldn't get the heat to turn off. It was in the 80's (F) iinside and no one could figure out what to do. They temporarily moved me to another room that was cooler. But it had no hot water. (I could still use my old room for a shower.)

I was there for two nights. The next morning, while having breakfast, one of the managers came over to explain they had a new hot water system put in but there was a problem. One half of the hotel had heating that couldn't be turned off while the other half didn't have hot water. It was installed by someone from another town and they couldn't find him. They did however, have a new room for me that seemed to be okay. It was.

When I went to check out, the manager said he would not charge me for the first night because of all the problems. He also said they were worried because a tour group was coming in the next day and they didn't know if everything would be fixed.

I asked..."Rick Steves tour?" He said yes. I said you have nothing to worry about. No one is allowed to complain as they would be considered a grump. (LOL)

Frank II, that is hilarious! It would be fun if someone from that tour saw your comment and could tell….the rest of the story!

If Conwy isn’t written in stone, consider Victoria House B&B in nearby Caernarfon. Hopefully while you’re in that area you visit Anglesey. There are many sites to see on it.
