Hi,
I am trying to decide which month to go to Turkey and also do the balloon rides. Any advice on what months have seen the largest balloon cancellations in the last year or even recently?. Anyone know what is the criteria is?

I found this article by googling. The flights are always first thing in the morning. The RS office may have information on which tours in recent years have not been able to do a balloon ride. My tour was in early November and ballooning weather was good all 3 days we were in Cappadocia. Read this current post which says their balloon ride a few days ago was wonderful, but there were none for the previous 3 days and subsequent 3 days.

When I went (May, 2022) the tours behind us had their balloon rides delayed from lack of visibility due to a huge dust storm.

There is a civil air authority that decides whether balloons can fly on a given day due to weather conditions. It's not up to the individual balloon company and there are no exceptions. There is also a limit on how many balloons can be flying at once. Do some internet research for recommendations for good times of year, as I recall it is spring and fall. I was there in late September for three days and each day was clear for flying.
