Trip to several places before daughter begins her semester abroad

Hi,
My daughter is going to be in Spain for the Fall semester so we are flying into Madrid, then going to the small town to locate
her an apartment. THEN we are OFF for about 2.5 weeks. She wants Rome, Paris and Amsterdam. I want to add in Florence, and mostly TUSCANY area. If truth be told, I would spend the whole time traveling around the countryside in Italy, but that is not going to happen on this trip.

I would like to know if anyone has stayed in a B and B or hotel outside of Florence somewhere in the Tuscany area and how many nights you would recommend? I have 2, maybe 3 nights. Also, I thought we might go back to Venice for a night before flying out to Paris.
Here is the itinerary: Fly into Madrid, go to small town to secure the apartment, then back to Madrid via the fast train and fly to ROME,
then go to Florence and Tuscany, then Venice, Paris, Amsterdam and back to Madrid to the small town. I won't get to see any of Spain, but she says she will do that during her semester. How many nights per location? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have spent hours researching on here.

My daughter is doing an international year at Exeter University, and she has been travelling around during school breaks. So far, she has been to Wales (countryside), Glasgow, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Prague, Vienna, Nice (and Monaco), Barcelona, Lisbon, Budapest, Munich, Nuremberg, Berlin, Luxembourg, Brussels, and, of course, places in England, such as London and Bath. She will be going to Amsterdam and Paris, as well as travelling to Copenhagen, Bergen, Oslo, and Stockholm with us.

Her favourites have been Florence, Brussels, Barcelona, and Budapest.

Have a wonderful trip, wherever you choose!
