ASAP Tickets?

Hi,
Has anyone used ASAP Tickets or have any information about them. I saw an ad for them on a news web site with prices that seemed too good to be true (so obviously a red flag). Reviews on another forum are mixed (surprise).
Thanks

Same question comes up here regularly. Consensus appears to be "run away from this, quickly."

Web ads for too-good-to-be-true "travel deals" (on a "news" site?) are almost always very scammy.
I wouldn't touch anything like that with an 11-foot Lithuanian.

I believe it's always better to book direct with an airline. It would be easier to deal with in case of anything goes awry.

I bet they can get you a great deal on WOW Airlines :-)

This same outfit was just mentioned a few days in another thread. Search it from the box above.

Sadly thier does not seam to be any real dependable trick or web site to get cheaper tickets as far as I have ever found. I can usually get the same cost tickets directly from the Airline that I can get on ANY web site.
Of course this may be effected by the high cost of flights from/to Detroit Metro. (It is cheeped to take the exact same flight from Detroit to London if you start in Chicago. And add an extra flight between Chicago and Detroit. 800 to 900 Chicago to London, or Chicago to DtW to London vs 1400-1500 Detroit to London for example). And trust me I have LOOKED.

But no site is any better then the next.

You can stumble across a deal but if you look at the same gflights on the same day and look at the same time the cost are very very close to the same cost. It only ever seams to change if you look one one site yogis week and another next week.
So I am afraid their is no magic trick to getting cheaper flights,
And hotels are just as bad, I often get either better perks or cheaper costs if I book directly.
Sorry to bust your bubble

My parents have used them and got a bit under $700 roundtrip flight tickets from LAX to Madrid, which is nothing to scoff at. They had no issues and received good customer service. So, yes, there are some success stories. It looks like they're a brand under International Travel Network (online travel agents, basically). It's unlikely you'll hear about them on this forum because it's heavily biased against third-party sites of any kind, except maybe European car rental consolidators.

By the way, have you ever tried Turkish Airlines, assuming you can fly out of their gateways in Texas? Their prices seem too good to be true, but they are the real deal. I've flown them multiple times. If you end up trying either one, come back to the forum and report back.

I agree with what was already stated. Use these sites to find flights, costs, etc., but book through the airlines directly. Dealing with a third party for airfare can become a nightmare if problems arise.

Thanks for all of the information.
Douglasjmeyer, I didn't really have a bubble to burst on this one as I expected that it was too good to be true. ;-)
