ASAPtickets

ASAP tickets quotes prices below other ticket sellers and airlines. Has anyone ever used this company successfully?
I am trying to book flights from the U.S.A. to Italy and I want to be sure that they are legitimate and not a scam.
Please tell me your experience with them. Thanks,

Sandi,

Never heard of them. I book directly with the airline.

I don't know what part of USA you're in, but British Airways is having a very good sale on their outbound and inbound fares. Of course, it depends on the dates, time of year and airport you're flying from.

I also strongly suggest booking directly with the airlines. If your flight is canceled or delayed, you have many more options working directly with the carrier.

Probably not a miracle but something that's not obvious at first glance. Very often combining of tickets of different carriers, which results in unprotected connections.

I've never heard of them, and I have traveled to Italy multiple times.

Having said that, check other travel forums like Trip Advisor and Flyer Talk.

I'm another forum member who always buys tickets direct from the airline. It makes a huge difference when itinerary issues (like weather, delays, cancellations) arise. The airlines will not help you if you bought from an aggregator website (e.g., Expedia, ASAPtickets). They will tell you that your agent needs to be the point of contact with the airline, and it can be very difficult to get the aggregators to do this in a time-efficient manner (or sometimes at all).

My parents have used them successfully and got a bit under $700 roundtrip flight tickets from LAX to Madrid (this was in 2017). They had no problems with their tickets or with customer service.

What's your risk comfort? 3rd parties are great sources - until something doesn't go well. If there is another Iceland ash fall out, or airline closure, or Arab Spring, and you are at the counter or calling the airline, they won't assist. You have to call back the people who booked the flight and customer service is rarely as satisfactory. Their job is to sell tickets to flyers, not help once the ticket is purchased.
I note on another travel forum ASAP has been around since 2011, so it has survived this long with satisfied customers. Your choice.
