Looking for Rome hotel recommendations preferably in the Pantheon area. Thanks.
And many more recommendations if you do a search.
We enjoyed the Palazzo Navona between Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, on Largo della Sapienza, a street back from busy area. Roof top bar. Historic building with modern interior and amenities.
Hotel Smeraldo
The Rome guidebook has some recommendations for that area. But for other readers, the Pantheon area is very, very touristy and lacking, IMO, in good restaurants. It would not be my first choice for neighborhood to sleep in. There are better choices.
Hotel Smeraldo - it's a short walk to the Pantheon and is in a better area for good restaurants. We love that hotel
We liked the 9 Hotel Cesari. Great location with nice rooftop bar. Very close to the Pantheon
There are hundreds and hundreds of decent hotels in Rome. You just need to pick a neighborhood you'd like to stay in.
We have been staying in the Ottaviano metro station area in B&B's. It's just down the street from the Vatican Museum, and we're familiar with the neighborhood.
We also like the Pantheon area, although it's a little more expensive. And we like the Trastevere section for their great restaurants although it's a little walk from the most popular tourist sights.
You can go on Google Maps and plug these neighborhoods in. Then click on the hotel block at the top and icons will pop up with prices of all the area's hotels.
Check out the Hotel Du Tori which is very close to that area. At one time it was operated by the same nice folks that operated another hotel where we stayed that is a bit farther away from the area you mentioned.
We had planned to stay at Hotel Due Torri in 2020 based on positive reviews on Booking.com and this forum. We had to cancel due to lockdown. The hotel staff were very gracious when we needed to cancel. It is in a quiet area and less than a 10 walk to Pantheon. Edited to add: http://due-torri-rome.italyromehotels.net/en/
Albergo del Senato.
A lovely hotel literally right next door to the Pantheon on the Piazza della Rotonda.
I love this area and this hotel.
