We are doing the 14 day best of Europe tour and want to end at the beach. Any recommendations for hotels? We are looking at the Lido Di Ostia area.

www.viamichelin.com can be a source for hotel ratings, in addition to the more general hotel search engines. Lido di Ostia is also an easy daytrip if you stay central Rome.

It definitely qualifies as as a ETBD locale -- it is not St. Tropez, not even Juan les Pins;
local teens aplenty, kind of like the church steps in the Piazza del Popolo with more sand.
