For those who have taken the RS Scandinavia tour, does the Norway in a Nutshell tour give you more of scenery you’ve already seen or a slightly different view? How would you compare the two as far as Norwegian scenery?

I took this tour in May 2022. You will see more than the Norway in a Nutshell tour, you will spend the night in the Jotenheimen Mountains and witness the spectacular scenery on your drive down to the Fjords. This is one of my favorite tours!

I'm doing this tour in August and asked a similar question. I decided I would do the Nutshell after the tour because of the possibility of bad weather, and if it's good, all the better!

We did this tour with Norway in a Nutshell after the tour. The weather for our Scandinavia tour was great except for the day on the fjords—cool, overcast and drizzly. We stayed one extra day in Bergen prior to NIN.
The weather on the fjords was sunny and glorious. Flam was a great lunch stop and the cogwheel train out of Flam was beautiful. The only regret was the last couple hours were in the dark—it was late August and the days were getting shorter. We got into Oslo quite late—I think around 10.
Would I recommend this—yes.
