On May 13, 2025, We provided a deposit for a Tuscan Villa that would be used to host us and friends for my wife’s birthday celebration. We chose a specific villa for this reservation.
On July 15th, we paid the remaining fees and provided them with a snapshot of the confirmation payment. We received via email a confirmation of receipt of the total payment. Our stay was to commence on September 20th, 2025.
As we got closer to our date, communications were spotty at best.
On September 19th, 2025 (the day before check-in) and while our guests were all on planes to Tuscany, we received a WhatsApp message stating that we could no longer have the house we had reserved because the bank held our funds until that day, which made us late in paying for the Villa. This was not true because 2 months prior, they provided confirmation of payment. They then attempted to pass off another much less adequate villa onto us, knowing we were in a bind because it was literally the day before check-in. We immediately told them this villa was unacceptab;e. This was a planned scam. They have promised a full refund, but have now said they are going out of business.
DO NOT do business with either of these companies. This has not only cost me my villa fee but an additional $13K to salvage this birthday celebration by securing last-minute hotel rooms.
If they show up under another name, the owners are Jana and Tomas. Barbara is another colleague of theirs who works at Salogi Villas.
