If you are buying travel insurance do not use this company- Trawick Insurance . They will quickly process your application and take your money. And they will do everything to not honor a legitimate claim. They have asked for a mountain of paperwork - which I provided again and again - for a $150 claim that is for reimbursement for a Food Tour in Madrid that we missed due to the country-wide power outage. Examples of how difficult they behaved- they asked for proof of train tickets purchased to Madrid (provided 3 times) , proof of cancelled train (again, I sent this 3 times) and more documentation from the rail company that the train was cancelled due to the blackout (provided this just once). Our claim was denied due to our ‘not providing this information.’ Plus, they wanted documentation of our entire 30+ day trip although we were just claiming reimbursement for a one day tour. I called the company and also emailed, requesting clarification. I never had my questions answered. In fact, I received a rude email scolding me for contacting them by phone. Their responses were limited to demanding new submissions of documents already provided. Look elsewhere for a reputable Travel Insurance company. Trawick appears to be a scam.

It's often prudent to look at reviews for claims on any insurance provider. Not just a general review of the company. Results are often significantly different. Even better if you look at those reviews before you take out a policy.

They have to have given you an excuse or reason for not accepting your claim. What is their reason?

I didn’t provide enough documentation. They closed the case but said it could be reopened if I send in additional documentation.
