Buy something at the airport so that you have smaller bills/coins in Paris. Our taxi driver claimed he had no change so that he didn't have to give us change from our fare! I didn't believe him for a minute and he finally scrambled up part of the change. And this was an authorized cab!
Also Rick needs to add another phrase to his French book for taxis: please stop texting while you are driving !
