Big Bus Tours

Paris, France. We purchased the 3-day Paris Hop on hop off pass. It included byline to some museums (please review the contents on their website) but you still have to wait in long lines to show the pass. And you have to use the museum pass in 2 consecutive days only. This is not on their website. They have not paid their venders (specifically Le petite train) so you will have to pay for some of the listed attractions on top of what you already paid Big Bus Tours. It wasn't until the next day they advised us of this (after we purchased) and was advised that some of the attractions are no longer available but would not elaborate on what. The information on their site and in their travel books are NOT accurate. My husband and I experienced this first hand and was completely disappointed. And we were not reimbursed for the extra $ we had to pay their venders despite bringing this to their attention by providing them with our receipt. The tour bus is available for 1 day only. It was completely full except some room on the top deck in the rain. The museum pass is only good for 2 consecutive days. Again, not on their website. No value in their products/tours. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Which city are you referring to? What attractions did you pay extra for? And who were these "venders"? You'll have to supply more information. There are Big Bus tour companies all over the world.

There is a company called Big Bus which is a HOHO in many European cities. Which city were you in?

Jenny, I'm very sorry as well that you had such a rough time with your tour but I'm also a little confused? I'm not seeing a 3-day hoho pass option on the Big Bus website at all: only 1 and 2-day passes. ???

https://www.bigbustours.com/en/paris/paris-tour-tickets-and-passes/paris-day-tour-tickets/

They also clearly state that the 2-day Paris Museum Pass - which can be purchased as an extra to the hoho bus - is good for 2 consecutive days. As well, Le petite train is not an "attraction" that pass covers nor am I seeing this train option advertised anywhere on the Big Bus website.

We've used the 6-day version of the Paris Museum pass and it was a very good buy for us. If you had the 2-day Museum pass, the hoho company wouldn't have been paying the "vendors" covered by it: your purchase price would have. I've a feeling this maybe was not the pass you had?

So I'm wondering if it's a different hoho company's tour you purchased? It would be unfortunate if Big Bus Paris was the recipient of a very poor review for a tour you didn't take with them.

If you charged the Pass, you could contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. You certainly didn't get what you paid for.

Thank you Jenny for filling in the details after your initial post. Like Kathy, I have to wonder if you bought from a different company than Big Bus. I can't find a 3 day tour or additional attractions like the Petit Train on their website. And it clearly states that the Museum Pass is for consecutive days. As for a long line at entry- the only line you can skip is the one at the ticket window. You still have to queue for security before you can enter any museum.

We've taken Big Bus tours in several cities in Europe and Asia and haven't encountered the problems you had - except for long lines at some places ( you can't escape those in "tourist cities" unless you go waaaay off season).

Jenny what you purchased sounds like the Paris Pass - which is a well known rip off - it is not a pass but a collection of tickets and vouchers , good for bus tour , a museum pass etc - if you had come in forums before your trip you would have learned that the Paris Pass is not a good deal .

A Paris MUSEUM Pass can on its own ( much cheaper than Paris Pass ) be a good deal though and while you can use it to skip TICKET lines you still must go through security lines .

A little knowledge before a trip saves you money .
