Take that pickpockets!
Another product that uses undergarments with sewn in pockets is the Clever Travel Companion. I bought the tank top with the two side pockets and it is so much more comfortable than a money belt.
They have products for both men and women. The sizing is smaller than you expect so order larger than your usual size if you buy.
I am definitely going to buy that 2 pocket tank. We will be going in the middle of september, and can probably wear it under a dress, or other top. Not sure which color to get. If it were in the winter and under heavier clothing, the one pocket would probably be more comfy.
If it runs too long, i can always have it hemmed. However, I am 5' 8" and have a long torso. What size do you think I will need? I weigh 140 lbs and not too heavy upstairs at all.
I normall wear a medium or size 8 in a top. I don't like my tanks skin tight..actually, in summer, I like them a little looser. Sounds like I have to get a large, but wonder if XL would be more comfy. What do you think?
I need that! I want that! I am going to buy that! Seriously, that is something I can see myself using in Europe, especially on transportation and around tourist sites. Thank you for posting this. For years I have tried sewing fabric "purses" to pin inside my bra. I like having things like my money, credit cards, ID and passport up front where I can guard them!
Michael,
Impressed that you were the first to post this, you were way ahead of the women on this site.
Keep up the good work.
Sigh... Maybe someday someone will make something like these suggestions big enough for my husband and me. The T-shirt and tank measurements are several inches too small for both of us.
Finding no indication of actual measurements for their sizes, I did send an email to the boobypack people to see if they could make them in my size with the pockets in a different position so that they don't abrade the inside of my arms. Film at 23:00.
If you want a looser fit on the tank from clever travel companion I suggest getting 2 sizes larger than you normally order.
In late summer, I wonder how hot the tank will be underneath something else.
It sounds like it's back to the money belt.
Turn it around 180 if, like me, it doesn't feel as comfortable in front anymore.
Boobypack did get back to me with the info that they are working on plus sizes for some indefinite time in the future. I hope their solution is not the one that the tanks with the built-in bras seem to use -- making a bigger "cup" that is not a real cup but rather a plate with absolutely no support.
The problem with so many companies is that their largest size (like the XXXL for Clever Travel Companion), at least for women, is too small for me, so sizing up is not an option. I often have to buy a men's size to accommodate the girls and my long arms, regardless of my weight. My husband, who insists he was made with spare parts, has his own issues -- shorter arms, very long torso, broad chest. The CTC XXXL is also too small for him.
I'd love to be able to wear one of the CTC tanks with the 2 pockets, but no can do.
I found bra belts last week on Amazon.com.

One can always make a better mouse trap! Good luck to the ladies on ST.
As my ex-husband once said, "That's the first place they'll look!"
Actually, I have a neck wallet that I wear cross-body under clothing, works fine with no front-bulging.
