Have you tried calling Verizon's international desk?
Yes, and they are helpful. But when you are in Europe, and you have an issue, you have to call during weekday business hours in the US - despite what they post on the website, this desk is not available 24/7, nor is it available on weekends. And that is inconvenient to say the least.
The same help desk, while it has been helpful, has also provided me with erroneous information, for instance on assuring me that the Travel Pass remains on the phones after the one month on the $100 plan. That did not happen, I could not "add" Travel Pass to our account on the website portal, and I had to call them. One of our family members needs the Travel Pass this week, and I had to call Verizon to get the pass reinstated on all phones. We have had Travel Pass continuously for at least 8 years, so bizarre that it got removed when we added the monthly plan for one month. They had no explanation for the glitch.
I find the Verizon web portal nearly useless to actually get something done. I have to repeatedly call Verizon for anything that should be fairly easily accomplished on the website.
I am looking at T Mobile, looks promising, actually less expensive than Verizon overall, not to mention no need to add a daily or monthly travel pass, and the international data and calling is included so there is nothing to add, delete, or fiddle with before any trips. The service is there when you need it...what a concept.
I am not here to bash Verizon, but when it comes to international usage, I have had many issues with them over the years and I am moving on.
