Using cellphone in UK with French phone number.

Will be purchasing Orange Holiday Zen 8GB eSims for my spouse and my own unlocked cellphone for our upcoming two weeks in the UK which will come with French phone numbers. Had good experience with them in December while traveling through France and Belgium.

To phone cell numbers in UK with our phones, do we need o dial +44, or 00 44, or 0 44 before phone number?
To call each others cell phones, do we need to dial +33, etc.?

modify the numbers in the Contacts to use "+country code" as +44 UK +33 France +49 Germany etc. Modern phones will format appropriately.

+44 for UK phone numbers yes.
No need to dial +33 for French phone numbers, since you have a French SIM.

I live on the Cotentin peninsula in northern France. Sometimes when I'm near the west coast my phone picks up a signal from a cell phone tower on Jersey and I get a "Bienvenue au Royaume-Uni" text from my cellphone provider. I would still have to use +44 to call the UK, but would not have to dial +33 to dial France.

True, Sammy, but if the habit is adopted the problem won't occur
