Travel Itinerary Apps?

Has anyone used a travel app with which you can collaborate with others on your trip? Or should I just make an excel spreadsheet?

I use TripIt. Mostly I'm the one who uses it, and I share it with my husband, who travels with me. And when we're on our trip, we both subscribe to the TripIt calendar, so that we can check bookings on our phone.

I use the free version.

I've also tried Wanderlog, which a lot of people like, but I'm too used to TripIt to switch, I think.

I use the pro version of Tripit. It allows you to let others access it.

Another TripIt pro user. It was half price on Black Friday. And now I usually receive an email to renew at a discount.

Another TripIt free user, I make all the arrangements, hubby can view them. Good luck! (You can email your flights, hotels, car bookings etc to the TripIt app and it saves everything in one place, very convenient.)

I have been using Tripit free since June 2009. The free version gives you everything you need for the casual user. All my trips are still on their servers, which is handy if you need to refer back for any reason.
I have also "shared" my trips with family so they know where I will be at any time while I am away. I also have others, trips on the app so I can follow them. Not sure if the sharers can alter your trip as I have never required this.
Whilst I love and use the app for every trip, local and international, I still put all my details on an excel spreadsheet and print it as well as having it in my cloud.

I've used TripIt in the past, but now I'm fully converted to Wanderlog. I find it to be much more intuitive, and I like the way it organizes the components of your trip. Where TripIt shows all your activities day by day, Wanderlog does that but also shows you all your flights and all your lodging in separate lists. And it handles collaboration really well, though I have only used that feature on one trip.

I've used both TripIt and Wanderlog, but I'm with Lane on this one. I do find Wanderlog to be more useful. As he pointed out, your flights, hotels, and other bookings are kept separate from your daily itinerary. Plus you can adjust the itinerary and subtitle blocks of days by name. For example, if you're in London for 3 days, put a subtitle for that block of time as "London" then when you move on to another location, add in the new name as a subtitle.

I find it more interesting as well, because the itinerary of places you are going to visit will have a lot of detail. Plus it will automatically link to Google Maps and to the website of your destination. It has photos to help identify it, which I enjoy. You can even change the photos to those you like more.

And as Lane mentioned, you can collaborate with others using Wonderlog, even with the free version. I did that with my two grandkids when we went to London and Paris in 2025, and it worked out well. I'm doing it now with an upcoming trip to Scandinavia in July. My daughter and I both have access to Wanderlog and can collaborate (although so far it's mostly me doing the work). 😂
