I've been using Google My Maps for trip planning, but find it frustrating with no train options included. Is there an app that does something like My Maps, but includes train routes? I also like the idea of the other apps that consolidate reservations and itinerary, but I'd like it all in one place.

Try Rome2Rio. Seems that is better for public transportation.

You cannot trust Rome2Rio's information about fares, frequencies or travel times, so I would not use it as a source for schedules. However, it usually provides a link to the website of the appropriate rail or bus company, and you can go there for reliable information. I'm sorry that I can't suggest an all-in-one website or app.

I like Rome2Rio and use it for planning, but as acraven says it's not a dependable way to actually book or buy tickets. Use the carrier's own website when possible.
