Travel app recommendations

Hello travelers, I am departing on a RS tour Wednesday and trying to limit my carryon weight so I would like to avoid paper copies of reservations, etc.? Now I am not technical and don’t know how to group things in folders but if there is an app I can put all emails and screenshots of info that would be helpful. Is there something like that I can use?

Always bring at least one paper copy of important things, then throw things away when you no longer need them. You never know what could happen--you could lose your phone or it could be stolen. I always have a paper copy of important phone numbers, itinerary, passport, drivers license, vax card, and more. I also have digital copies in Gmail and on Google Drive.

I have used TripIt for many years. You forward all of your reservations to it ( plans@tripit.com) and have them all in one place. Easy. Sometimes you have to manually add a small hotel or an AirBnB.
TripIt is free but you can upgrade to an even more helpful level for a fee. And years later, when you are trying to remember which rental car agency or hotel you used, you can find it all under Past Trips, another helpful feature.

I use DropBox. It is a form of cloud storage. I have the app on my phone which allows me to access the files online AND store them on my phone off-line. If I lose the phone, I can still access the cloud storage via the Internet. I use it for everything from work to personal.

I use DropBox as well, and save the needed files in iBook so I can access offline if I need to, review on the plane, etc. I create a collection for each trip to keep everything togeter. But I also print out paper copies and create a folder for the trip, which we can access easily and becomes a memento. To save paper and weight, I tend to use a slightly smaller font, narrow margins and get rid of extraneous pages which aren't relevant. It also helps in case we need the actual paperwork for car rental, etc. and not just the reservation/confirmation #.
